What do you think about the Newman town centre? Any thoughts about how to improve the Shire's economic outlook? What about tourism?
The Shire is seeking feedback on your thoughts, values and opportunities which will be used in the development of the strategies.
The Shire of East Pilbara, with funding from BHP and Pilbara Development Commission, is preparing a Development Strategy for the improvement of the Newman Town Centre and an Economic and Tourism Development Strategy for the whole of the Shire.
They hope you are able to participate in this process. The first opportunity to get involved is by completing the surveys provided via the links below and returning to email@example.com or the Shire of East Pilbara offices by Tuesday 28 August 2020.
Each survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.
You will also have the opportunity to attend future community engagement activities for the projects at any of the ‘Drop-In Sessions’ or Listening Posts to provide additional feedback and ask questions in person on the following dates:
- Thursday 6 August – approximately 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Newman
- Friday 7 August – approximately 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Nullagine
- Saturday 8 August – approximately 12:00pm to 3:00pm, Marble Bar
Exact times and venues to be confirmed. Additional details will be provided on the Shire’s website closer to the date. It would be great if you could spare a few minutes to come and chat to the Shire’s consultants on the project, Taylor Burrell Barnett.
Any enquiries about the projects, surveys or drop-in sessions should be directed to Karen Hyde or Katherine Shirley from Taylor Burrell Barnett at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 9226 4276.
