National Reconciliation Week 2020: 27 May – 3 June
The theme for #NRW2020 reminds us whether in a crisis, overcoming a global pandemic or in reconciliation we are all #InThisTogether.
National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
Share, support and celebrate National Reconciliation Week 2020 by getting involved.
In Newman, we’d like to begin celebrating National Reconciliation Week by acknowledging Nyiyaparli people as traditional owners and the Martu people as custodians of the lands in and around Newman. We recognise the continuing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to lands, waters and communities and pay our respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
