Legal Aid provides legal assistance and aims to promote access to legal services and information for all West Australians.
Whether you are needing help with civil, criminal or family law, Legal Aid WA is here to help.
They’ve got physical offices in Perth, Bunbury, Albany, Kalgoorlie, Geraldton, South Hedland, Broome, Kununurra and Christmas Island.
As well as virtual offices in Armadale, Esperance, Fitzroy Crossing, Halls Creek, Joondalup, Karratha, Leonora, Mandurah, Meekatharra and Midland.
So, no matter where you are, they’ve got you covered.
They offer a range of services including support through their info line and chat service, have plenty of videos and fact sheets to help you understand some of the jargon or processes you may be going through, and have a heap of info on their website.
They’ve also got some great resources as part of their Blurred Borders initiative with handy flash cards that can help you make sense of the bail and criminal process, family violence and child protection. These can be used by families, community groups or anyone who is just needing to understand some of these tricky terms in simple language.
