My Grandmother’s Lingo

My Grandmothers’s Lingo is a unique, voice activated interactive which tells the story of Angelina Joshua, a young Aboriginal woman on a mission to preserve her Indigenous language, Marra.

Marra is one of over 250 language groups native to Australia and the Torres Strait Islands, traditionally spoken on an area of the Gulf of Carpentaria coast in the Northern Territory.

This innovative documentary uses voice-activated technology, animation and music to provide users the opportunity to better understand, learn and preserve the Marra culture and language.
